It’s Spring and April has begun! Everything starts to grow and bloom in April and it’s just a gorgeous month to watch the plants come back to life! We love celebrating all the holidays, big and small, so I put together this April Festivities 2025: A Guide to Fun April Holidays handbook!

Hello April!!! I love the month of April. It’s Spring and everything starts to come back to life! The temperatures warm up and outside gets to be a super pleasant place to be! There is much to celebrate in April and I love celebrating anything fun with my family — both little and big moments! The “National Day Of” celebrations are so much fun to celebrate as a family! I love to look at the list and see what will be the most fun to honor as we go into each month. It’s such a fun way to put a little pizazz and joy in our days, and I say the more joy and happiness, the better! Let’s dive in to what we have to look forward to in the month of April!

There aren’t any major holidays in April for 2024. Sometimes Easter is in April, but not this year! It is Tax Day in April though! Don’t forget to file your taxes!

April Fool’s Day (April 1):
It’s the national day of pranks and practical jokes. Keep it light and funny!
Peanut Butter and Jelly Day (April 2):
The day to celebrate the most perfect sandwich of all time! Have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner today! Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly cookie! French Toast! Pancakes! The sky is the limit!
National Find a Rainbow Day (April 3):
If it’s not a rainy and then suddenly sunny day, you might have to get imaginative for your rainbow hunt today. You could make it a fun scavenger hunt and put rainbow stickers all around the house! The kid with the most rainbow stickers wins a prize! Next-level parent hack? Put the stickers in places where they would do chores!
International Carrot Cake Day (April 4):
Poor carrot cake gets a bad wrap! It’s delicious! If you aren’t a fan, try a new recipe or try it again today. You are missing out!! There is carrot cake bread, muffins, actual cake, coffee creamer, the sky is the limit! If you don’t like traditional carrot cake, try this recipe. It’s like carrot cake meets hummingbird cake and it’s amazing!
National Deep Dish Pizza Day (April 5):
A day as glorious as this calls for takeout pizza! Get a deep dish to celebrate the day!
National Student Athlete Day (April 6):
Celebrate your student athlete today! Or if you don’t have a student athlete yet, make it a point to go to a local baseball game and cheer on the players!
National NO Housework Day (April 7):
Now this is a day I can really get behind! No housework, no problem!
National Zoo Lover’s Day (April 8):
What a fun day! If you can work in a trip to the zoo today, go! If it doesn’t fit the schedule, there are TONS of zoos you can look at online that have webcams of the animals! Zoo Atlanta has a panda cam that I love! And Animal Adventure Park has the always amazing giraffe cam!
National Unicorn Day (April 9):
If this is your idea of fun, go to Pinterest and search for “unicorn party” and you will see, the possibilities are endless! What a fun way to celebrate! You could read a book about unicorns, make a fun craft, and even a snack!
National Siblings Day – (April 10):
It’s a day to celebrate your siblings! Have your kids do something nice for each other to celebrate! And don’t forget to call your own siblings to say hi!

Celebrate your pet today! Give them an extra treat and some extra love today!

What a delicious holiday!! Have grilled cheese sammies and soup for dinner tonight! Easy, easy, easy and so delicious!

Make a cheeseball and have it with dinner tonight! If that’s your thing! Here’s a basic cheeseball recipe to try!

National Garlic Day (April 19):
Yummo! What a delicious holiday! Have some awesome garlicky pasta tonight! Or the famous chicken with 40 cloves of garlic!

If the weather is nice, go outside for a picnic today! If not, have a picnic for dinner in the living room floor! Make sandwiches and chips and enjoy!
National Pigs in a Blanket Day (April 24):
YUM!!!!! Make some pigs in a blanket to go with dinner and enjoy!!
World Penguin Day (April 25):

Hello April!! Hello Spring!! This month everything will start to turn green and bloom again and I just love to watch that happen! It seems like almost overnight everything is green and beautiful again! The trees get leaves, the daffodils and tulips bloom and it’s just such a beautiful time.
